  • Question: Do you have a printed version of your menu?
Customers with web access can print the menu which is available on our web site. You can see our current menu here.

    Question: Are you a franchise?

No, not yet! We are a local Tucson coffee shop that is independently owned and operated by a former software engineer turned entrepreneur.

Question: What makes your coffee and espresso so good?

Thank you! We've been told by many customers that we serve the best house brew in Tucson. We start with a wonderful blend of coffee beans that was specially developed for southwestern palates and tested on local friends. Our Javalina's "Rockin' the House" blend of specialty coffee beans are locally roasted, delivered to our shop soon after roasting in flavor seal bags, and brewed while they are still fresh. We use the finest brewing equipment around, and we filter our water to achieve the perfect pH balance, assuring that our coffee has an excellent flavor profile and is never bitter. And we brew fresh coffee throughout the day in order to serve you the freshest, most flavorful coffee around. We guarantee it!

Our Desert Zen Espresso Blend is the absolute ultimate espresso, also known as Zen Master Espresso. As with all of our coffee beans, our Desert Zen Espresso Blend is locally roasted and delivered fresh to Javalina's. This rich, smooth, and heavily bodied espresso is syrupy sweet with a chocolate finish. A lighter roast than is typically considered 'espresso', the beans in this blend are of such high quality that the roast is meant to highlight varietal flavor as much as the process of espresso itself. This is the connoisseur's espresso; with correct 'pulls' this espresso will prove to be almost all crema. But be warned, this espresso requires the hand of an experienced barista, its subtle qualities lost on the novice. Our baristas at Javalina's have all received thorough training in the art of making espresso and have quickly become some of the best baristas in Tucson. We appreciate the support you have shown them!

Question: Can you supply large volumes of coffee for meetings?

Yes. We offer .75 gallons of coffee in a to go box or larger batches in returnable Cambros in 3, 4, and 5 gallon increments all at very competitive prices. We may require a deposit on the dispenser until you've established a history of returning the dispensers in good condition and in a timely manner.

Please call (520) 663-5282 for current pricing.

Question: Who did your tile work?

We're glad you love our tile work! It was designed and created by Jeff Harris.

Question: Do you sell bags of your coffee over the internet?

Yes, you can order our beans through our online store or send an email to bonnie@javalinas.com to make arrangements to have us ship the beans to you or directly to your friends, business associates, and loved ones. You can also pick up bags of our Javalinas Brand coffee right in the store!

Question: Where do you get your baked goods?

We bake our cinnamon rolls, pastries, fruit danish, cookies, and other tasty treats, right in our own kitchen.

Question: How do you pronounce your name? Is it java-linas or javelinas?

While our logo depicts a cute little javelina, the shop is called Javalinas with the emphasis on "Java" (the "J" is pronounced like the "J" in jump). Some have confused us with Javelina Cantina which is a restaurant and bar, but we are not affiliated with Javelina Cantina. No matter how you pronounce our name, we'd love to see you. Thank you for choosing Javalina's!
