Javalina's coffee shop was sold to Java Edge in December of 2008. Bonnie Vining has formed a non-profit organization called Live Acoustic Venue Association (LAVA) for the purpose of connecting musicians with appreciative audiences in settings that are conducive to listening. LAVA will be hosting concerts in a variety of settings.

LAVA is filing for 501(c)(3) status, and admission charges are considered donations.
